Good old Mark. Keep punching out numbers and one day you just might get it somewhere near right. Won't hold our breath though.

The post-Brexit customs system favoured by Boris Johnson and other leading Brexiteers could cost businesses up to £20bn a year, officials have suggested.

The figure is higher than the £13bn UK contribution to the EU in 2016.

The chief executive of HM Revenue and Customs told MPs firms would have to pay £32.50 for each customs declaration under the so-called "max fac" solution.

"COULD" means nothing. It could also save businesses up to 10 billion a week.

I just did 2 SEPA withdrawals from my coinbase account back to my fidor account but I just read online that fidor doesn't accept incoming SEPA transfers?! My coinbase account says the payments are completed but there is nothing in my account. Has something happened to my money?

Hi @OPLEACH, please send the details of this transfer hello@fidorbank.uk as soon as possible and we can follow up from there.

about 20 hours from CustomerService

Apart from not accepting incoming SEPA Credit Transfers, you do not have any IBAN to use.

Customers are advised not to generate their own IBAN using website tools, these are only suitable for confirming accuracy of IBANs issued by banks.

Having an IBAN is not what permits a transfer it is having the network connections and infrastructure and other software and hardware connectivity all up and running at the bank that matters.

When Fidor UK enable SCT and issue IBAN customers will be advised.

Any outgoing SCT may display an IBAN but that is NOT your IBAN, just the IBAN of the sending firm (Fidor group or an agency banking arrangement like Currency Cloud) and should not be used for the receipt of transfers.

if you obtain an MT103 transaction reference from the sending bank, that would help Fidor trace your missing funds.

The pound is taking a turn in a new direction with vertical notes.

What will be the only sterling bank notes of upright orientation in circulation are being printed by Ulster Bank.

The polymer £5 and £10 notes will enter circulation in Northern Ireland next year.

All four of Northern Ireland's banks print their own money, a tradition which dates back to the 19th century

Ulster Bank is part of Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).

I thought this was a joke, especially given the Irish connection. Seems I was wrong and that don't happen very often :-)

The average time to completing a Fidor Current account opening is 1 hour or less if the client is not reffered for further checks.

Physical Cards are not dispatched until clients order for them. Digital cards are automatically created with all newly accounts opened.

Shame the Fidor digital card is not disposable like my Revolut card.
