BACS transfers will not work into the current account, right? What about IPO transfers? Thanks!

I don't know what you mean by IPO (I only know FPS, BACS, CHAPS, SWIFT, SEPA, SOFORT...)

However at the moment only Faster Payment System transfers are accepted.

BACS etc will hopefully be officially introduced shortly

The account is denominated in GBP so even when IBAN are eventually issued deposits will need to be in GBP.

There are currently no plans to provide EUR denominated accounts.

I am looking for a good rated LISA, I will be turning 40 on 27th May, so not much time left to get one. I am on benefit for Disability and I am unable to work. This is one of the investments I can think of using. I have a stocks and shares ISA from last year I also have some investments that I made directly with seedrs so unfortunately they are not registered here, can I register them? Can anyone suggest any further investments or savings on a limited budget? Thanks A

I've tried to send a SEPA transaction to Kraken in which they say that the name of the account I'm depositing from (my UK Fidor account) must match the name of their account which I'm depositing into which is 'Fidor Bank AG'. Does the AG part distinguish a different Fidor Banking division from mine and therefore my transaction is lost? The transaction was about 36 hours ago.

Ok. Thanks. That's good to know. Perhaps the issue is with Kraken.

Branches are closing because of plumetting footfall as customers do their banking online rather than in some high street branch.

It is not managers moving but the dealers and traders working with Euro currency, bonds and stocks, etc.

has asked a question:

What matters to people more? That bank branches across the UK are closing by the hundreds, with people losing jobs and others losing places to bank?

Or;

Extremely highly paid bank managers moving to other parts of Europe?

Because the branch closing is constantly occurring regardless of brexit. The highly paid bank managers moving is (apparently) only happening because of brexit.

Exactly, which is more of a matter of concern to people than managers moving abroad.

The big banks should focus on serving their customers, not threatening to move their managers abroad (which does nothing for the service of their customers at ground level).

After a year+ of these banks 'threatening' to leave the UK I'm still waiting for any of them to actually do it..

about 16 hours from JoelDalais

That is because Brexit is still 2 years away so Citi's plans to move 200 jobs to Frankfurt, HSBC's 1000 to Paris, Deutsche Bank's 4000, Credit Suisse to Dublin, etc don't just happen overnight. They are currently sourcing properties, finding out which staff will relocate and which will take redundancy. Some will not finalise the extent of the staff numbers until the Brexit terms are clearer with lower numbers if we say in the free trade area or retain passporting but higher numbers if we leave the free trade area or passporting. Recent pronouncements from Ms May indicate a likely hard Brexit and loss of the passporting rights banks and insurance companies depend on to operate from.a London base rather than a base on the continent
