Update: my pending incoming deposit from Monday PM has just landed into my Fidor account finally. This may help others know where they stand in the pending txes queue.

I have repeatedly pointed out to Fidor that you need to be able to specify your SEPA payments in destination currency or sending currency rather than only have a sending currency amount for this very reason. This suggestion has been made multiple times for 2 years and they have still failed to amend their online banking. That is why I use Monese for all my SEPA payments.

I have repeatedly pointed out to Fidor that you need to be able to specify your SEPA payments in destination currency or sending currency rather than only have a sending currency amount for this very reason. Day 3, I'm still waiting for deposit to show. I transferred all my money into fidor because I was foolish enough to presume it would go through immediately (or within 2 hours).

Now for the third day my family can't pay bills or buy food, and Fidor seem to be taking their time with it.

I appreciate the moderators here can do little, but us users have nowhere else to go: this forum is literally more helpful than customer support, but both aren't taking us too far. :(

Mickey Mouse has been a huge success for decades and has brought joy to millions with a whole industry built around him.

Fidor are more comparable to Del Boy, only less likeable.

Use Revoult, they won't take one penny. Get wise :-)

You will know exactly how much Euros to send as you will have a Revoult EURO bank account.

The problem is the SEPA Transfer form only permits the amount to be specified in GBP.

Currently it shows exchange rate 1.134

If I enter 17.64 GBP, it shows 20.00 EUR to be sent. But can I rely on 20.00 EUR actually arriving at the destination account? Or will exchange rate change again. This is important when trying to pay a bill in EUR. It would be annoying if only €19,99 is sent.

Doubt it, fidor has become a complete farce, I don't actually understand how they continue to operate, how can a bank function when customers can't make deposits or withdrawals, it's quite remarkable

I find it frankly remarkable Joel that there has been no announcement or communication of any kind from Fidor, how the hell can deposits and withdrawals from a BANK be stopped for an undetermined amount of time with zero communication to customers and no response from customer support?

I can't make announcements on behalf of Fidor without express permission, and honestly, moderators tend to find out about such difficulties after customers are complaining about it (bringing it to our attention) on this community. Once I'm aware that you guys and gals are having issues then I can try to do something.

But it is a bit of an ongoing issue that moderators have repeatedly made the central team aware of.

Can anyone give me one reason to recommend a friend or family member to open a Fidor account? Even when their systems are working as intended, they don't offer half the functionality of Revo;our, Monzo Starling et al. Their sign up and identity checks are far more efficient. and you can actually use their debit cards both in store and on line, offer far better exchange rates with no fees and customer services actually get things done. Oooops I almost forgot, Fidor do offer 0.3% interest on credit balances, WOW, and an annual raffle.

No one picked it up in the morning (waited 40 minutes) but someone answered the next 2 calls. The first time they answer they told me they have some issues and that they tried to solve it by the end of the day. Second time they answer towards the end of the day they told me the issue is still not solved and to check tomorrow.Not great.

There's nothing moderators can do to assist directly as we don't have access to the backend, but I've let customer service know of your case and hopefully things will get moving along properly.
