I heard of them. I think they are an Italian company

They're part of Unicredit and based in Italy but seem to have a base in the UK too.

Free £ and Euro SEPA transfers to / from UK and Eurozone sounds like a good idea.

Is Fineco Bank a good idea. Maybe, maybe not, depends on your risk profile.

Check out this wonderfully educating piece my Martin Lewis "Are your Savings Protected'.

Only 6 key points to note:

Another poorly constructed article/page by Martin Lewis. While on the UK regulated page it mentions the FCSC £85K/£170K/£1M limits if you follow the hyperlink to the page about EU regulated it only mentions the €100K limit and not the temporary high balance covee.

All three limits for individual/joint/temporary high balance apply across EU and are not just applicable in the UK.

The write ups by Martin Lewis have always been a bit nationalistic in tone and it is worth noting the FCSC cover is NOT a UK initiative but just the UK implementing the European regulations which specified a requirement for this cover in member states.

Hopefully the UK Government will maintain a similar scheme when the UK leave the EU and not just scrap FCSC cover after the UK leave the EU!
