How can I send money abroad to someone who doesn't have a Fidor account?

You could also consider sending it as crypto currency, faster, cheaper. Litecoin maybe a good choice (cheap fees and fast sending and on major exchanges).

I only hear bad things about WU.

WU of course is very expensive, as so is Paypal.

I suspect using crypto currency is too arduous a task for most people.

My advice, open a Revolt account.

I will wait until they get their European banking license.

I just read stories on reviews, and also their twitter feeds from customers who have lost funds in closed accounts.

I've only had positive experience with Revolout. I transfer around £1000 to a French euro account every month without any problems. Just transfer money in then straight out again.

We have all had bad experiences somewhere along the line, even with the best of them !

The key is that 'they' learn form their mistakes and build a better customer service and delivery experience.
