Hi ClemUK, customers don’t currently have access to this information because we can only accept incoming transfers and payments via the faster payments system. However, this will soon change.

Thanks, Mike, I feared as much when I couldn't find a BIC for Fidor UK even though the IBAN is calculatable. Look forward to the change - will we then have SEPA receipts?

ClemUK, IBANs are not always calculatable, for example an IBAN for accounts at sortcode 60-95-34 will not be GBnnHAND609534nnnnnnnn but GBnnHAND405162nnnnnnnn. This is because not all banks use the same processing arrangements for domestic and international deposits. This is why IBAN calculators should only be used to check IBANs rather than create them.

The fact that it is still being touted as by the end of the year is worrying to say the least. It is now November 18th. I am 100% confident that as there are only 6 weeks left of the year, if it was going to happen a firm date would have been given by now.

I am pretty much 100% sure that we will not get sort codes and account numbers this year, if ever. With 6 weeks left and FIDOR not knowing a rough date, it is not looking good is it.

Coupled with the fact that the debit cards working is hit and miss, the issues for 2 weeks where they wouldn't work online at all and the manual process in which credits are "sometimes" credited to your account on time and sometimes not, all in all, the offer isnt looking good. I think the new neo and challenger banks are doing the right thing by not launching until they have full functionality.

I think FIDOR have rushed their offering and made promises and timescales that were impossible to keep. Jsut my thoughts.

This is true, I agree. It is not looking good as a fully usable account. By now they should have overcome teething problems...

There are no IBAN or Swift/BIC available yet, only a UK sort code and account number, you will be notified by Fidor when this changes.
