TESCO LOW RATE PERSONAL LOANS

Just seen Tesco doing low rate 2.9% personal loans up to £25000 spread up to 10 years! Cheaper than some mortgages! However small amounts of less than £5000 carry a premium in rate so be careful!

More fuel economy

You might have seen these on offer in your local supermarket for £2-3 per bottle. FUEL INJECTOR CLEANER. Choose between the petrol or diesel Injector Cleaner and pour into your fuel tank before you fill your car up. This cleans the fuel system, lubricates the tiny moving parts and cleans the fuel injector nozzles to spray your fuel in a fine mist as opposed to droplets which don't burn as efficiently. Makes your engine run smoother and uses less fuel to cruise / accelerate because it burns it more cleanly!

Stale or hard bread into that just cooked freshness

This is a really fun way of making bread that you'd normally throw away. Sprinkle a little water all over the bap / bread and microwave for 15 seconds per bap or 10 seconds per slice of bread. Your bread will rehydrate and feel soft and doughy to eat again!

Battery rejuvenation

Bit of a tip here to get your house hold batteries - e.g. clock. To last that musch longer. Get a cup of hot water and your nearly depleated battery into it. Leave it for a minute and swirl it around in the cup. The heat rejuvinates the insides to give their final throw of power. Don't use boiling hot water and always read the safety advice on the battery. Do it outside in a bucket for safety reasons

“maintenance run” on your appliances

Check them to make sure there isn’t any dust clogging them and that they’re fairly clean. Look behind the appliances, and use your vacuum to gently clear away dust. Check all of the vents, especially on refrigerators, dryers, and heating and cooling units. The less dust you have blocking the mechanics of these devices, the more efficiently they’ll run (saving you on your energy bill) and the longer they’ll last (saving you on replacement costs)

Keep Banana fresher

Easy tip to keep your bananas from turning brown by wrapping the end in cling film to stop oxygen from getting into the broken stalk part! This should give you an extra few days of shelf life

Check your change

When talking to a dealer about a car purchase, ask them what extra 'support' the manufacturer can offer to purchase or lease a vehicle from them. Beer

Hi,

When having a party and there are people wanting a shandy, use supermarkets own brand basic bitter or lager and basic lemonade mixed together 50/50. At 90p for 4 cans its also a cheap way to wet the old whistle if you have a thirst for some beer. At 2% volume of alcohol the can of beer won't spark you out like the other leading brands on those lazy summer bbq's.....

Sandwich at work

Hi,

Making a packed lunch first thing in the morning is sometimes a chore when your goal is to get into the office on time. Try this, take a loaf of bread, pack cheese/meat slices and a pack of mixed salad to work. Put it into the fridge at work and during the course of the week - make your sandwich as and when you are ready. Cheaper than nipping off to the shop to get ready made sandwiches and if you get the munchies you can even make yourself some toast 'n' jam or a cheese toasty for a fraction of the cost. Making the lunch / snack yourself ensures you get away from your desk and actually take a break. Lots of advantages - mainly save £2 or 3 a day by making it your self. What would you spend that £50 a month on that you've saved on?.....

Speed up your Computer, Tablet or Phome

Hi,

Been having problems on my computer and smart phone running very slow. I'm not a computer geek and have big fat fingers. Friend showed me a free program on internet that 'cleans up' your computers systems. It cleans away old material and things that like to stay lingering in the computer to spy on your activities to help marketing companies to target you online all the time.

download the free program and its dead easy to use. Let me know what difference it's made to your computer, tablet or Mobile phone!

Hi, with the Bank of England lowering the rate to 0.25%, how will the B.O.E. ensure that my mortgage provider will pass that saving onto me? I have a SVR at 4.54% and unfortunately not enough

Hi, with the Bank of England lowering the rate to 0.25%, how will the B.O.E. ensure that my mortgage provider will pass that saving onto me? I have a SVR at 4.54% and unfortunately not enough equity in the property to take advantage of some amazingly low rates for remortgage.

Syrian Boy

Hi, been looking on the internet as to how to help that poor child pulled from the rubble in syria. Found several websites that promise to use your donation to help these children. Not sure which one is the most hands on in using that money to help make a difference? Any one have any ideas or what you have used? I don't want to be sat reading the paper in 5 years time with the Headline - ' IF ONLY WE HELPED'

Free Road Tax

Having had new cars that are road tax exempt, my next daily runabout will be a 41 year old land rover! Before you shreak at my madness I thought I'd share my reasoning.
The vehicle is environmentally friendly... It's true! Instead of a typical cars life cycle of 10 years, a land rover just seems to get fixed up. Therefore less are produced to replace the vehicle that's been scrapped, only for the factory to churn out another at great expense of energy use. The insurance. Are you ready for the shock... Fully Comprehensive... £94. Errrr that is not £94 per month, that is the full years classic vehicle insurance, declaring social, domestic and commuting to work!! The road tax is exempt (classic vehicle taxation for vehicles over 40 years old!) To service the vehicle you need a big hammer and spanner, cheapest oil from your ASDA supermarket and filters that cost less than a bottle of el cheapo wine! No electrics to fail - apart from bulbs that can be replaced by taking 2 screws out. Depreciation - don't we just hate it when a car loses value. Take a look at the prices of the old land rovers - very stable and you would be hard pushed to get less than you paid for one (neglect punishes the silly owners!) in fact, news is that they are an appreciating asset since production of the Defender finished this year.
Downside? Yes it will only cover 20 - 25 miles per gallon, drip specks of oil on your drive and no mod cons of air con or power steering. Men in beards stopping you to reminisce about their old Landy in car parks!
Not sure if you would be exempt from the congestion charge in London thou,
Whats your thoughts folks on old vehicles to use as a daily driver!

EPC Reports

If your looking to rent your property out, make sure that every light fitting is an energy saving bulb. I have a victorian building that would of had an E - energy rating, however, for a few pounds I got the energy rating to a D! The benefit of this is that in 2018, any properties that have a F rating or below with incur a new green tax on landlords! It may also pay to have a brand new boiler heating system in your rented property than a conventional insurance cover to protect the system. I currently pay £40 for Homeserve, however a new top notch boiler system is coming in at £25/mth over 5 years - that includes full parts & labour guarantee..... Time to address the savings I can make than putting the rent up a notch. Good tenants are worth their weight in gold. Treated tenants to a feast of a takeaway delivered to their home. It's showing that you know they're human and that you appreciate them as tenants. Savings are better way to increase the yield on you investment.

Hi, Poland is in the European Union and still uses the Zloty as its currency. Why? The same could be said about the Pound!
