Fidor would be better if you could use with google pay like other bank accounts already offer.
Locking your debit card shouldn't require a "Single Use Authorisation Code" (mTAN). If someone robs you or you lose your wallet you may lose your phone at the same time, or you may be in another country and your SIM can't receive SMS codes, which means the person who stole your card can happily use it and you have no way to contact Fidor other than email and ask them to block it, which may take many days to respond.
Is there any plan for Fidor to add Two-Factor Authentication to the banking login?
can we not have retype payment details every time please
It would help if you could make payments through the app, it’s a real pain having to go to the website to do it!
It would be great if the payment templates stored account numbers and sort codes rather than the Just the name and amount of the previous transfer!!
Would be great if Fidor could integrate into e-commerce sites so we dont need to use paypal anymore and the money can come direct into my smart account
It would be great if Fidor supported EUR, GBP and USD current accounts under one hood. For example, I'm in the UK and can have only GBP account, whereas someone in Germany can have only EUR account currently. Even tho we're in the same bank and within EU.
I have suggested this on Fider Germany as well. Fidor Germany is open to international accounts, but the whole service is in German, which can pose an obstacle to many.
If Fidor UK decided to open to the brader international community and hope to attract more customers from abroad, a localized interface could be a very welcoming first impression.
I know that for many companies UI localization is a major financial burden.
Many companies outsource this to community based translation. I'm fairly sure that Fidor UK could integrate such a method - and reward the most active translators with some Bonus.
I have opened my user account hoping that I could get access to a GBP banking account with a card, but had to realize that the verification is available for UK residents only. It would be awesome if non-UK people could register at Fidor UK too. Having a UK account could be useful in several cases of our digital life.
(I know others are providing such options, but let there be competition, and why not Fidor with its community perks?)
