Many high street banks offer such a service, viz: your debit transactions are rounded up, and the difference between the actual transaction value and the rounded up value is siphoned off to a savings account. E.g. pay for a coffee at £2.40, then 60p (i.e. the difference between £3.00 and £2.40) is paid into a savings account. It can soon add up to several quid a month and one then saves without really realising it.
There are also investment companies which do this independently - after you grant them access to your bank accounts (which under UK law banks must now agree to), they round up your debit card transactions and then pay the difference into an investment account.
It would be good if FIdor offered one or other (or both) of these services.
I find it very hard to believe that there is no option to have 2fa on Fidor bank log in. Surely this would be so easy to implement and would increase security bigtime!!!?
If there was any seamless integration and compatibility with Paypal and Apple Pay then it would be wonderful using Fidor Bank services.
Fidor would be better if you could use with google pay like other bank accounts already offer.
Locking your debit card shouldn't require a "Single Use Authorisation Code" (mTAN). If someone robs you or you lose your wallet you may lose your phone at the same time, or you may be in another country and your SIM can't receive SMS codes, which means the person who stole your card can happily use it and you have no way to contact Fidor other than email and ask them to block it, which may take many days to respond.
Is there any plan for Fidor to add Two-Factor Authentication to the banking login?
